Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most shocking disappointment of round 15 in the BSN was a home defeat of 3rd placed Mets (7-10) to fourth ranked Cariduros (8-9) 88-80. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It was a great evening for American power forward Terrence Jones (206-1992, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import Earl Clark (208-1988, college: Louisville) helped adding 13 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was naturalized American guard Kyle Vinales (188-1992, college: CCSU, agency: Inception Sports) with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Cariduros moved-up to second place, which they share with Santurce. Mets at the other side dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. Cariduros is looking forward to face Capitanes (#3) in Arecibo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Mets will play on the road against Grises in Humacao and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Fajardo. 4th placed host Cariduros (8-9) lost to second ranked Piratas (12-6) 77-61. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Carlos Emory (196-1991) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Phillip Wheeler accounted for 23 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Terrence Jones (206-1992, college: Kentucky) came up with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for Cariduros in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piratas keep a position of league leader, which they share with Ponce. Cariduros at the other side dropped to the second place with nine games lost. They share the position with Santurce. Piratas will play against league's leader Vaqueros in Bayamon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cariduros will play at home against Capitanes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The best player for the winners was Walter Hodge who scored 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Tjader Fernandez who recorded 21 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains third place with 11-7 record having just two points less than leader Ponce. Loser Atleticos keep the fourth position with nine games lost. Capitanes will meet league's second-placed Cariduros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Atleticos will play against Gigantes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 15: Carolina won against Guayama on the opponent's court 88-74. Carolina unfortunately lost to Bayamon in a home game 74-79. Santurce managed to beat Humacao on the road 94-86. Mayaguez was defeated by Ponce on its own court 94-101.



Guayama - Carolina 74-88

There was a minor upset in Guayama where their close opponent Brujos (3-14) were defeated by sixth ranked Gigantes (6-9) 88-74 on Saturday. Gigantes dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Brujos' 40. The best player for the winners was American guard Sheldon McClellan (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) who scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (207-87, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Ben McCauley (206-1986, college: NC State) who recorded 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American swingman Jahvari Josiah (193-1993, college: Coppin St., agency: Green Sports Management) added 21 points respectively. Five Gigantes and four Brujos players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gigantes moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Humacao. Brujos lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 14 games lost. Gigantes will meet higher ranked Atleticos (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brujos will play against the league's second-placed Piratas in Quebradillas and hope to secure a win.

Very predictable result in Carolina where first ranked Vaqueros (13-5) defeated 6th ranked Gigantes (6-9) 79-74 on Sunday. Vaqueros made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-1992, college: Miami, FL) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American-Dominican Angel Nunez (203-1991, college: S.Florida) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Vaqueros players scored in double figures. Not a big story in a game in Humacao where 5th ranked Grises (6-9) were defeated by second ranked Cangrejeros (8-9) 94-86 on Sunday. Cangrejeros dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Grises' 44. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cangrejeros made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was international guard Gian Clavell (193-1993, college: Colorado St., agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Cangrejeros' coach Carlos Calcano used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Gabriel Belardo (188-1989, college: FIU) who recorded 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import guard Jordan Swing (198-1990, college: UAB) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
